Orca Beads
I am 23 years old and graduated in 2023 with a degree in Languages and Translation, specializing in Chinese. Currently, I work as an editorial executive at one of the largest creative agencies in Egypt and the Middle East. My aspiration is to become a writer, and I strive to learn something new every day. I have a strong interest in acquiring new skills and exploring various activities. Although I consider myself an outdoors person, I can be quite shy and anxious at first. One of my core motivations is to bring joy to others and help them learn something new. This desire to create positive experiences is what drives me to identify as a maker.

I am a maker with a specialization in STEM education. Over the past four years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with thousands of students and trainers worldwide through various training sessions and competitions. I have also collaborated with institutions in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE to develop educational curricula. All of this has led me to create and present educational programs, both through television shows and recorded content, targeting different age groups.

Sara Tarek Anwar
I'm Sarah Tarek, a visual artist who graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University. I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in art criticism and appreciation at the same university. I'm particularly interested in textiles and their intersections with technology and digital fabrication.
I attended the Maker Diploma in 2022 to deepen my understanding of digital fabrication and how it can enhance my textile-based artwork.
Recently, I completed a production-based residency at the Digital Expression Foundation, focusing on a project that merged textiles, technology, and art. Following this, I launched my own venture called 'fabric and stuff,' which produces eco-friendly fabric bags with designs inspired by Cairo and its people.
I believe my strength lies in my diverse skill set, which allows me to approach projects from various angles. I consider myself a maker because I utilize traditional craftsmanship to create contemporary products using eco-friendly materials

Kulaimat
Sofana Albahi
I graduated with a BSc. of Pharmacy and Biotechnology in the year 2012. I have always been passionate about a myriad of things: art and crafts, science, and literature. I consider myself lucky to have worked in nearly all of these, and many times even in jobs that mix some of these together.
I am now an English editor, translator specialized in scientific texts (En-Ar, Ar-En), and a still-learning artist. I've worked in different positions and industries the past 12 years, the last 4 of which were managerial, and these are all what made me into who I am today.
I feed on creativity and it's the common thing between the unique jobs I worked in. I love making things and seeing beauty in them.
