The Education Team at San3a Tech is seeking a dedicated and experienced STEM Instructional Designer to join our innovative and dynamic team. At San3a Tech, we focus on creating comprehensive, cutting-edge educational experiences that empower the next generation of makers and innovators. This position plays a critical role in designing and developing engaging curriculum, instructional materials, and educational Kits for our education programs and products such as Maker Diploma, Girls Make, and Maker Classroom.
Responsibilities:
Learner Analysis - Collect and analyze target audience data including learner needs and goals
Learning Experience Design - Design comprehensive learning experiences for online, hybrid, and face-to-face educational programs and products
Content Development - Develop supporting instructional materials, including lesson plans, instructional guides, student guides, presentations, and video tutorials
Assessment Development - Create assessment tools, criteria, and rubrics
Kits and BOM Development - Design and develop educational kits, in addition to the required bill of materials (BOM) and logistics for enhanced learning experiences
Quality Assurance - Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to excellence standards during instructional design, development, and implementation
Instructional Coordination - Lead, guide, and support instructors during the implementation of education projects by providing required training, learning materials orientation, and progress follow-up
Training and Instruction - Create and facilitate instructional sessions and pieces of training
Learning Analytics - Collect, analyze, and derive insights from learning data to inform strategic decision-making
Technical Qualifications:
Experience: 3 to 5 years of instructional design and/or curriculum development in Engineering and Technology fields
Education: BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field
Proficiency in maker space prototyping equipment: laser cutters, 3d printers, vinyl cutters… etc
Proficiency in 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD)
Proficiency in electrical and electronic circuit design and making
Proficiency in Software/Hardware programming (e.g. C, C++, Python, Arduino C… etc.)
Mastery of instructional design and educational content development
Proficiency in E-learning design, script writing, and storyboarding is preferred
Proficiency in English language reading and writing skills
A good record of instructional projects and curricula (preferably with evidence of prototyping and developing supporting tools such as hardware kits, software tools, or teaching models/aids)
